Costs
Our fees are
based on two levels for every level of ownership. We aim to keep our fees at a
competitive and reasonable level to allow everyone to enjoy their racing.
Fully Inclusive
Included are the full training fees, monthly farrier costs, worming, clipping,
general veterinary expenses (for minor injuries or everyday maintenance), travel
expenses for first 45 miles (£1.00 per mile thereafter).
£1200 per calendar month (£32.80 per day).
Part Inclusive
This option includes full training fees only. Any other expenses, such as
wormers, clipping and farrier costs will be billed directly to you on a monthly
basis as appropriate.
£900 per calendar month (£26.30 per day).
Gallops fees are paid directly to Weatherby’s and we are positioned very
favourably to take advantage of the extensive gallops and schooling grounds.
Out of Training/At Grass
We can also accommodate horses out of full training, whether it is a
youngster being broken, a horse recovering from injury or in transit as we have
several unlicensed boxes based outside the main yard. These horses will have
the same care as our horses in training and will follow recovery or light
exercise programs as needed.
Box rest, turn out, walker, etc – between £15- £25.00 per day. If a horse is
injured for a period over four weeks the basic training fee will be reduced
after four weeks to £15.00 per day.
At grass - £10 per day – horses can have access to an individual paddock or be
turned out in small (two or three) horses. 24hr turnout is available in
paddocks with field shelters or horses can be brought in at night.
Any veterinary expenses outside the fully inclusive option are billed directly
to owners by the veterinary practice.
Transport Costs
Where possible, we transport horses to the races in our own box at a very
reasonable rate. However if a suitable share is possible and reduces costs for
the owner, we will take this option.
Additional Professional Services
We are extremely lucky in Newmarket to have access to some of the best equine
veterinary practices in the world. Pat currently uses the services of both
Rossdale & Partners and NEH.
We also use specialist equine dentists, physiotherapists and back specialists.
Of course, we have daily access to a farrier and, when needed, a remedial
farrier. |
